Get ready with me while I talk about who I am” *slides the GRWM headband on*. But seriously, here we are. I was born on July 22, 1988; when acid washed denim and shoulder pads were the absolute shit. I am a mom, which is honestly the dopest title I’ve ever had. My kids keep me on my toes and definitely inherited my sense of humor (if you know, you know). I live for a good laugh, and comedy podcasts fuel my soul; especially This Past Weekend with Theo Von, because unfiltered, borderline unhinged humor is the best kind.
I see life as a gift, even in the messy moments. Growth comes from the chaos, and I truly believe there’s beauty in every chapter; yes, even the ones that feel like a total dumpster fire.
I also have an incredible partner who second shoots with me from time to time. He’s an insanely talented creative and artist, and he somehow manages to be both wildly talented and ridiculously silly, so if he’s at your session, expect some off-the-wall jokes and an extra dose of creativity.
Also, I run on Alani energy drinks. Coffee? Not my thing. (If that’s a dealbreaker, I get it, but you’d be missing out on peak-level chaos energy.)
At the end of the day, I’m here to capture the raw, real, unpolished magic of your story-because those are the moments that actually matter.
Check this out. One of my kids is about to be in middle school, and the other is heading into high school. Like, wasn’t I just packing Goldfish and sippy cups and jammin' out to Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood? Time is a scam. I also have two incredible bonus children and am so thankful to be a part of their life. There truly is never a dull moment in our house. Honestly, its like a sitcom.
I’m a Cancer Sun, Scorpio Moon, and Cancer Rising. Basically a walking tidal wave of intuition, emotion, and just the right amount of mystery. Or so they say. ; )
I love me some reality TV and true crime-but only if it’s a docuseries. Let’s be real, I can’t sit through an entire movie without getting up to do something else 45 (20) minutes in. Docuseries were made for people like me-quick episodes, real stories, and just enough chaos to keep me hooked without demanding too much of my attention span.
Let’s face it: having your photo taken can feel... weird. There’s a camera pointed at your face, you’re suddenly wondering what your hands normally do, and whether you're blinking too much. It can feel like you’re auditioning for the cover of Anxiety Weekly. But that’s actually my favorite part ; helping people move past all that and just be. I do this for the people I photograph and for my kids, who remind me every day how good it feels to be yourself, fully and unapologetically. My goal is simple: create a space where you can laugh, relax, and not worry about performing. Just exist, and exist comfortably. No pressure, no pretense. We’ve all had those moments-feeling judged, feeling like we’re not enough, especially in the social media age where everything’s filtered and fine-tuned. Not here. Here, you get to show up as you are, quirks and all. I’ve always been the person who’ll strike up a conversation with anyone or throw out a quick-witted comment just to see a real, unfiltered smile; so in a way, photography became the perfect collision of everything I love. My corporate background didn’t align with my soul, but it did sharpen my business sense, which gave me the foundation to turn this passion into something real. At the end of the day, being able to show people what I see when I look at them, like really SEE them-is the biggest honor. So basically YOU are my why.
My fiancé was so nervous for engagement pictures because he hates his pic taken but Heather made it so laid back and natural (she also didn’t take hours to get the pics!!!) we couldn’t be happier with how they turned out and can’t wait for our wedding day 🥹
Heather, when I booked you for our wedding, I thought I was booking a photographer.. but I ended up getting so much more than that! I can't thank you enough for all of the love and support you showed me on my big day! Two years later and I'm still swooning over these photos. Thank you! I love you!!
The most badass down to earth person! Makes people feel comfortable and confident while expressing themselves through photos. Truly captures the subject in the best way!
Heather is simply the best. I am forever grateful for all the important moments in our life that she has captured. From my engagement photos to my wedding - getting to know the people I love, to being one of the first to know I was pregnant to then being one of the first to meet my baby- there is no one else I would have rather had there through my important moments. She is not only the most talented photographer, she had become a great friend, mentor, and hype woman. I will forever recommend her to everyone I know. Ryan’s input- beans (I don't know but he told me to add that)😂
